Description

Connecticut public official and militia officer (1749–1809) who saw action early in the war, from the Battle of Bunker Hill to the Battle of Trenton, but did not join the Continental Army. LS, one page, 6.25 x 7.5, March 29, 1809. Letter to Justus Riley, in part: "I have been busily engaged all this week adjusting a lease to Frederick Fuller, & being now through that business, I will wait on you and Mrs. Morgan tomorrow, to settle our accounts." In fine condition.
