Handsome pair of Prince's personally-worn custom-made metal 'Diamonds' cufflinks, as worn by him on stage and in the 'Diamonds and Pearls' music video. The gold-and-black "Diamonds" cufflinks measure 2.5″ long, and have swivel toggle backs. In fine condition. From the collection of Prince's assistant Therese Stoulil and accompanied by a letter of provenance.
'Diamonds and Pearls,' the title track of Prince's 1991 studio album, was released as a single on November 25, 1991, and rocketed up the charts to peak at number three on the Billboard 200. He is seen wearing this type of cufflink (paired with matching a 'Pearls' link) in the classic 'Diamonds and Pearls' music video, and he also wore this style in concert and in at least one well-circulated publicity shot. An extraordinary pairing of wardrobe items connected to one of Prince's beloved hits.
