Signer of the U.S. Constitution from Pennsylvania (1749–1822) who also ran unsuccessfully as the Federalist vice-presidential candidate in the 1812 election. Partially printed DS, signed “Jared Ingersoll, Atty. Genl.,” one page, 8 x 13, 1795. A legal document outlining charges against Abraham Cashman, who “with force & arms, &c in and upon one Francis Gibbs … an assault did make, and … then and there did Beat, Would, and ill treat, and other harms to the said Francis Gibbs….” Matted and framed with a portrait and engraved plaque to an overall size of 21.25 x 21.25. Intersecting folds (pinholes and a few small edge separations) and mild toning and wrinkling, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA. Oversized.
