Description

Partly-printed DS, one page, 17.75 x 11.75, January 14, 1884. As governor of New York, Cleveland names James R. Reagles as "Second Lieutenant in the Thirty-sixth Separate Company, Infantry, National Guard, State of New York." Boldly signed at the conclusion in ink by Governor Grover Cleveland, and countersigned by Adjutant General John G. Farnsworth. Impressively cloth-matted and framed with a portrait and engraved plaque to an overall size of 39 x 28.5. In fine condition.
