Limited edition commemorative Canadian Olympic Coins set issued for the Montreal 1976 Summer Olympics, containing a total of 28 uncirculated coins that comprise seven different series, each of which features four distinct coins: two $5 dollar coins and two $10 dollar coins, with each coin containing 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper alloy. The $5 coins are 38 mm in diameter with a fine silver content of .72 Troy oz., and the $10 coins are 45 mm in diameter with a fine silver content of 1.44 Troy oz. The front of each coin bears an attractive embossed design related to Olympic events, places, and history, and the reverse of each shows a relief profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The coins are housed in their original carrying case, 16 x 9 x 2, with the top lid bearing the Montreal 1976 logo. Accompanied by certificate sheets for series V, VI, and VII. In fine condition, with affixed paper remnants to the lid of the case.
