Handwritten letter from the Senate Chamber, in full: "I take great pleasure in introducing you, and in commending to your friendly offices, the bearer H. B. Croone Esq., a highly respectable and intelligent gentleman residing in North Carolina, who is on a visit to your fine and hospitable city." In very good to fine condition, with light toning from prior display, and show-through at the top from old mounting remnants on the back. Accompanied by an engraved portrait bearing a facsimile signature.
