Partly-printed invitation, one page, 5.5 x 4.5, issued to Clark M. Clifford to meet Winston Churchill and Clementine Churchill at a reception on March 24, [1949] at the British Embassy. In very good to fine condition, with light toning over the left side of the card. Clark Clifford was a significant Democratic political advisor and administrator, who at this time was serving as Truman's White House Counsel; he later served as Secretary of Defense under Johnson from 1968-1969.
