Description

Italian-American physicist (1905-1989) who discovered the antiproton, worked as a group leader for the Manhattan Project, and won the 1959 Nobel Prize in Physics. Vintage glossy 4 x 5 photo of Segre from his time at the Berkeley Radiation Lab, signed in fountain pen. Reverse bears a Berkley ink stamp and a typed collector's notation indicating that it was received in 1959 In fine condition, with light surface impressions at the top from typed notations on the reverse. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
