Canadian diplomat and politician (1897-1972) who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1957 for organizing the United Nations Emergency Force to resolve the Suez Canal Crisis; he served as the prime minister of Canada from 1963 until 1968. Two items signed by Pearson: a color 4.5 x 6.5 Time magazine photo of Pearson presented in an off-white 7.25 x 9.25 mat, signed and inscribed on the mat in blue ballpoint, "To Ken Browne, with best wishes, L. B. Pearson"; and a TLS signed "L. B. Pearson," one page, 5 x 8, House of Commons letterhead, June 19, 1968, in part: "I have been happy to autograph the 'Time' magazine cover and am returning it herewith." In very good to fine condition, with a crease to the bottom of the image, and a paperclip impression to the top edge of the letter.
