William Cullen Bryant

Two ALSs, both signed “W. C. Bryant,” each one page, 4 x 6 and 5 x 8, July 31, 1854, and February 22, 1870. The earliest, a letter to a publisher, in part: “Certainly I made a blunder, and see no way of excusing myself. Set the line, if you please, read. ‘Swift Iris spoke her message from the skies.’ In the 3rd line of the Tenth Book, is another error. The line shall read, ‘Save only Agamemnon’ instead of ‘All only Agamemnon.’” The second, in part: “It is our intention to leave New York by the eight o’clock train on Tuesday morning…send this note to New York to be mailed there tomorrow morning.” In overall fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
