Truly a man of high character and principal, skilled in his art, just, kind and respectful, whose ever ready advice to those anxious to succeed, and with his regard for the rights and feelings of others has endeared him to all who have enjoyed the pleasure and privilege of having served under him.” Signed at the conclusion in ink by 12 members of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, including John Eissler, Louis S.
