Description

Civil War-dated ANS signed “McClellan,” one page, 4.75 x 4.25, Head-Quarters, Army of the Potomac letterhead, 1861. Hastily handwritten note by Major General George B. McClellan to his chief of artillery, Brigadier General William Farquhar Barry, in full: “Have you any platforms for the 8˝ siege howitzers to be placed in battery near Sumner’s Hd Qtrs?” In fine condition, with light creasing and intersecting folds.
