LS in French, signed “la Comtesse du Barry,” one page, 4.5 x 7, March 1776. Untranslated letter to S. Allegrain regarding the purchase of a marble statue by M. Buffault; Allegrain's reply is penned on the reverse. In fine condition, with scattered soiling, and light show-through from additional writing on the reverse.
