Signed and inscribed on a slip tipped to the title page in ink, "Edward Howell from John Quincy Adams." Adams was out of the country when this booklet was published, so he pre-inscribed slips for the printer to tip in and present to his friends. Autographic condition: fine, with faint mottled staining. Book condition: G/None, with crude tape repairs to joints and spine, staining and scuffling to boards, and heavy wear to corners.
