Description

Flown cover carried on the Crew Dragon Demo-1 mission, the first orbital test of the Dragon 2 spacecraft, which arrived at the International Space Station on March 3, 2019, signed in black ink by three crew members of Expedition 58 (Oleg Kononenko, Anne McClain, and David Saint-Jacques) and by Aleksey Ovchinin of the following Expedition 59 mission. The cover bears four onboard International Space Station stamps, including the postmark of the Russian segment of the ISS. In fine condition.

Flown ISS covers with signatures from the respective SpaceX and NASA astronaut crews are quite rare and exist in limited editions of 15 to 30 covers per flight. As no official crew-signed launch covers from any of the SpaceX Crew Dragon flights are known to be available for public purchase, this flown ISS cover represents a true space-philatelic rarity of modern space flight history.
