Two items signed by the king and queen of France: a partial manuscript DS in French, signed “Louis Philippe D’Orleans,” one page, 10 x 5.5, February 8, 1830, approving payments given to the persons attached to the service of the Chapel of Dreux; and an ALS in French, signed “Maria Amalia,” one page, 5 x 7.5, May 3, 1818, in part (translated): “Regrettably I have not been able to thank you any earlier for your letter of 23 March…I am still very worried about the health of my third daughter, and this was what made us hurry to get into the country where we have been for four days now; the rest of the family are all very well indeed.” Sadly, the couple’s “third daughter,” Princess Françoise d'Orléans, died at the age of two on May 20, 1818. In overall fine condition.
