Magazine publisher (1873-1942) known for publications such as Vanity Fair and Vogue. TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, The Conde Nast Publications, Inc. letterhead, October 25, 1923. Letter to William S. Patten of National Publicity, Ltd., in full: “It was nice to hear from you again and I was delighted to learn about the distinguished list of advertising clients that you are handling. It is certainly a most impressive clientele. I do not know Mr. Johnson of the Victor Talking Machine Company. I talked to our Advertising Director as to whether he thought I might send the letter to Mr. Johnson, notwithstanding the fact that I did not know him. He urged me not to do this. It seems that we are in some sort of discussion with the Victor Talking Machine Company, and, for that reason, he advised against it. I am very, very sorry.” In fine condition.
