- Official U.S. presidential commission promoting Bean to the rank of “Lieutenant (junior grade)” in the United States Navy on July 28, 1958
- Official U.S. presidential commission promoting Bean to the rank of “Lieutenant” in the United States Navy on March 21, 1963
- Official U.S. presidential commission promoting Bean to the rank of “Lieutenant Commander” in the United States Navy on March 15, 1968
- Official document from the State of Alabama promoting Bean as an “Honorary Lieutenant Colonel Aide-de-Camp in the Alabama State Militia” on December 31, 1969
- Official document from the States of Texas commissioning Bean as “Admiral in the Texas Navy In Command of the Texas Task Force Now Anchored in the Sea of Tranquility,” issued on February 7, 1970
