Massachusetts native Raymond Thomas McCall (1901-1986) was a longtime Teamsters union official who advised two U.S. presidents on labor issues during two wars. U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1943 asked him to be a member of the War Labor Board and Trucking Commission. The board worked to prevent labor strikes during wartime. In 1950 during the Korean War, President Harry Truman asked Ray to be an alternate member on the Wage Stabilization Board representing business and industry.
