Two volumes containing first and early printings of Longfellow's important collections of poetry. Includes: presumed first printings of 'The Waif: A Collection of Poems' (published in Cambridge by John Owen in 1845) and 'The Belfry of Bruges and Other Poems' (published in Cambridge by John Owen in 1846), rebound together in a single hardcover volume with a handsome quarter-leather binding and marbled boards; and a second edition of Evangeline, A Tale of Acadie, published in Boston by William D. Ticknor & Company in 1848, bound in the publisher's decorative gilt-stamped brown cloth boards. In overall very good condition, with contemporary ownership inscriptions to end pages, edgewear and scuffing to boards, and moderate foxing to textblock of 'The Waif.'
