“The Secretary of Labor has told me of the significant contribution you have made"

TLS as president, one page, 6.75 x 9, White House letterhead, February 5, 1955. Letter to the Hon. Cyrus S. Ching, an industrialist, federal civil servant, and noted labor union mediator. In part: "The Secretary of Labor has told me of the significant contribution you have made as a Consultant in helping him improve the programs, policies and organization of the Department of Labor. I wish to add my thanks and appreciation to those of Secretary Mitchell. You have performed a great service to the people of the United States." Framed to an overall size of 10 x 12.25. In fine condition, with a torn staple hole to the upper left corner.
