Porcelain plate by the Societe Ceramique of Maastricht, Holland, 10″ in diameter, with the bottom featuring the coat of arms of Amsterdam with laurel wreath and text, “IXe Olympiade, Amsterdam 1928,” and the border containing artistic images of six Olympic events: soccer, rowing, running, swimming, cycling, and tennis.
Embossed brass hanging wall plate, 12″ in diameter, with the bottom depicting a javelin thrower, the cheek bearing Latin text, “Mens sana in corpore sano [A healthy mind in a healthy body],” and the border containing sports equipment and text, “1928 Olympiade, 1928 Amsterdam.”
