Prolific French writer (1802-1870) known for such classics as The Count of Monte Cristo and The Three Musketeers. Uncommon AMS in French, signed "Ale. Dumas," five pages, 8 x 10.5, no date but circa early 1860s. Dumas's untranslated manuscript for an article entitled "Le Conservatoire de Musique [The Music Conservatory]." Presumably intended for publication in one of the two newspapers managed by Dumas during his stay in Naples between 1861 and 1864, L'Indipendente and the Monte-Cristo, the article offers commentary on the art, music, and theater culture in Naples. In fine condition.
