Vintage matte-finish 6.5 x 9 portrait photo of William H. Taft by the Moffett Studio of Chicago, signed and inscribed on the original mount in black ink, "For William Hoster, with the warm regards and best wishes of Wm. H. Taft.” Double-matted and framed to an overall size of 12.75 x 15.75. In fine condition. Journalist William Hoster for several years served as the executive correspondent in Washington for the Hearst newspapers; he became quite friendly with Taft and even vacationed with him at his coastal home in Beverly, Massachusetts.
