Prince's concert-used dark grayish purple double-row tambourine with a 10″ open head (cracked in half), bearing a printed "Love God" label on the handle in the style of Prince's handwriting, thrown from the stage during one of his March 1985 shows at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum during the Purple Rain Tour. In very good condition, with the tambourine having been split in two in the chaos and excitement of the concert, and one of the cymbal rods missing (three of the detached mini cymbals are included).
Accompanied by a letter of provenance, in part: "The purple 'Love God' tambourine was obtained at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, NY. Prince threw the instrument directly into the crowd during the 1985 concert. I was near the front of the stage and was fortunate enough to catch it at one end. Unfortunately, someone else caught the other end at the same time. After a bit of joggling, the tambourine broke. At this point, the other attendee said that I could have it." Additionally includes five original color candid photos of Prince on stage during the show.
