Manuscript DS, one page, 7.75 x 10, December 1, 1811. A legal document, in part: "I Andrew Jackson do constitute and appoint John Childress of Davidson County my true and lawful attorney…to ask demand and receive of the Sheriff of Maury County the amount of a Judgment received against the heirs of David Allison dec'd—and full and sufficient discharges to give in my name for the sum—and generally to do all such acts and things with respect to the sale of the property of said heirs." Signed at the conclusion by Jackson, over a hand-drawn seal, and countersigned by a witness. Also endorsed on the reverse by Childress, indicating that he recovered $474.84 for the sale of a five thousand acre tract of land. In fine condition, with toning from prior display. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder.
