ALS signed “J. M.,” one page, 8 x 6, February 11, 1824. Handwritten letter to "Gov'r Barbour," regarding money deposited in the "Bank at Fred'g." In part: "I rely again on the preparatory step on your part wch you were so good as to take in the first instance. On receiving the two notes with your signatures I will add mine, and send both to Fred'g: providing in the meantime the small sum there due on receiving the discount." In very good to fine condition, with loss to the upper left corner, light soiling and old mounting remnants on the back. Encapsulated and graded by PSA/DNA as "NM-MT 8."
