Description

(Walt Disney Studios, 1938) Beautiful original production cels of Donald Duck and a bluebird from Donald's Golf Game, showing the frustrated duck clenching his golf club and set to swipe away a small bluebird perched on his ball. The cels have been trimmed and applied to a hand-painted watercolor production background prepared by the Disney Art Props department. Images measure 7.75 x 6 (Donald with balls and bag) and 2 x 2.25 (bird on mound), with a mat opening of 10.75 x 8.25. Archivally matted and framed to an overall size of 20.5 x 19. In fine condition. Accompanied by a Courvoisier Galleries label affirming that this "is an original painting on celluloid, actually used in the Walt Disney production of 'How to Play Golf'"; our research indicates that the title appears to be misidentified and that the actual cartoon is Donald's Golf Game.
