ALS signed “Louise,” penned in black ink inside a Christmas card that measures 6 x 8.75 open, December 16, 1970. Handwritten letter to author Jan Wahl, in part: "What are you writing? I’ve been bad about letters because research is difficult in Rochester and I had to get The Other Face of W. C. Fields off to sight and sound.” Brooks has signed her name and added a "Merry Christmas" sentiment in red and green crayon. In fine condition, with faint toning from prior display. Accompanied by the original hand-addressed mailing envelope, with Brooks adding her surname to the return address field, and a vintage photo of Brooks that features a white facsimile of her autograph.
