Ultra rare UK promotional first pressing of Led Zeppelin’s self-titled debut album (Atlantic, 588171, Stereo), with turquoise blue lettering to the front cover and “Factory Sample, Not for Sale” labels affixed to the back cover and to the side one label. Matrix and runout numbers to both sides read (in part): “588171 A//1 1” and “588171 B//1 1.” In fine condition, with scattered light creasing to covers. The record is included. This elusive promotional release was quickly pulled and replaced with the orange-lettered cover, which the band considered more provocative and suitable for a loud rock album. One of only two first pressing promo examples that are known to exist, this record is a true rock rarity and an immensely hard-to-find Led Zeppelin collectable, one which is virtually unobtainable and rarely offered for sale or auction.
