Limited edition color 27 x 37.75 lithograph of an early Family Dog (FD-22) concert poster designed by Alton Kelley and Stanley Mouse for a pair of Grateful Dead concerts at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, California, on August 19 and 20, 1966. The lithograph, numbered 372/500, features a large yellow and black design with a central image of Frankenstein’s monster and bold, fluid lettering that misspells the band’s as “Greatful Dead.” This poster design was the first that Mouse Studios did for the Grateful Dead, hence the spelling mistake. Signed in the lower border in pencil by the two artists. Rolled and in fine condition.
