Description

King of Sweden (1778-1837) from 1792 until he was deposed in an 1809 coup, who was the son of Gustav III of Sweden and his queen consort Sophia Magdalena; he was the last Swedish ruler of Finland. Manuscript DS in Swedish, signed “Gustaf Adolphe,” one page both sides, 8 x 12.25, February 20, 1798. Untranslated document concerning
a pharmacy and pharmacists in the Swedish city of Östersund, signed at the conclusion in ink by King Gustav IV Adolf of Sweden. In very good to fine condition, with small edge separations to intersecting folds, a missing seal with some remaining wax remnants, and a few small stains and wrinkles. Accompanied by three unsigned engraved portraits.
