American cartoonist, entrepreneur, and amateur anthropologist (1890-1949) who is known for creating the Ripley's Believe It or Not! newspaper panel series, radio show, and television show which feature odd facts from around the world. Vintage fountain pen signature, "Ripley, Believe It Or Not, 1931,” on an off-white 5.5 x 2.25 slip, with "Happy Birthday" penned in another hand. In fine condition. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder.
