American cartoonist, entrepreneur, and amateur anthropologist (1890-1949) who is known for creating the Ripley's Believe It or Not! newspaper panel series, radio show, and television show which feature odd facts from around the world. Vintage glossy 6 x 8 photo of the globetrotting Ripley with his well-traveled luggage, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To—Eric Johnson, with every good wishes, Ripley, 'Believe It or Not.'” In fine condition.
