As King of Italy, Napoleon questions the efficiency of an army expense report

LS in French, signed "Napol," one page, 7.25 x 8, March 22, 1806. Untranslated letter to Monsieur Mollieu, acknowledging the receipt of an Army of Italy expense report and questioning the superfluous need of three pay offices for what is now one Army of Italy. Archivally matted and framed with a caption and an engraved portrait to an overall size of 23 x 19. In fine condition. A clean and crisply penned example from the French Emperor and King of Italy.
