British statesman (1863-1945) who served as prime minister from 1916 to 1922, and who was a major player at the Paris Peace Conference of 1919, overseeing the decisions that determined Europe's postwar future. Exceptional vintage matte-finish 11.25 x 14 photo of David Lloyd George by the Vandyk Studio of London, signed on the original mount in black ink, "D. Lloyd George." The mount is also signed in pencil by the photographer. Framed to an overall size of 17.25 x 21.25. In very good to fine condition, with a tear to the top of the mount, and silvering to the perimeter of the image.
