Statesman and politician from Massachusetts (1850-1924) perhaps best known for his vehement opposition to America's participation in the League of Nations. Vintage matte-finish 6 x 9 portrait of Lodge by Harris & Ewing, affixed to its original 9.75 x 13.75 mount, signed and inscribed on the mount in fountain pen, "Mrs. Samuel E. Winslow—With very best regards of her friend, Henry Cabot Lodge.” In very good to fine condition, with some chipping to the right edge of the mount, and silvering to the perimeter of the image.
