Original self-portrait model sketch by Edie Sedgwick, unsigned, no date (circa 1965), accomplished in graphite on an off-white 15 x 20 sheet of sketching paper that shows Sedgwick, with telltale pixie hairdo, in a partially nude three-quarter-length pose, her left arm placed between her chest, her face calm and contented, with portions of her body wrapped tastefully in a blanket. Matted to an overall size of 19 x 24.5. In fine condition, with creases to upper corners, and some stain spots to right side.
Sedgwick used this model sketch as a guideline for a painting that she finished in 1965, a work that is offered in this auction as Lot 8035.
