Blue felt tip signature and inscription, “Best wishes to Tina, John Bonham,” on an off-white 6 x 5 sheet. In very good condition, with overall creasing and multiple intersecting folds.
Accompanied by an original program for the Knebworth Festival 1979, where Led Zeppelin famously performed on August 4 and 11, 1979, and by a letter of provenance from the brother of the original recipient, who writes: “Tina went to Knebworth in 1979 to see Led Zeppelin. It was around this time that she attended Long Marsten racetrack. Myself and my brother attended the Drag Racing events there on a regular basis. Tina on one occasion was there [too]…There was a bit of fuss being created and my sister, curious to see what was going on, went over. It was John Bonham, drummer with Led Zeppelin. He was there as a racing enthusiast. Tina quickly grabbed some paper from her bag, a shopping list, tore some off and got John to sign…When Tina got home she put the signature in the Knebworth programme. It remained there for 40 years.”
