Description

Pen used by President Richard Nixon to sign ‘An Act to amend the Rural Electrification Act of 1936, as amended, to establish a Rural Electrification and Telephone Revolving Fund to provide adequate funds for rural electric and telephone systems through insured and guaranteed loans at interest rates which will allow them to achieve the objectives of the Act, and for other purposes’ (S. 394) on May 11, 1973. The official Parker 'bill signer' pen measures 5.25″ long and features a navy-blue plastic barrel bearing a silver facsimile signature and a silver-tone cap section. Mounted and cloth-matted and framed with its original presentation box and cover, which bears a preprinted signature, and a printed copy of the original signed statute to an overall size of 26.75 x 23.5. In fine condition, with staining to the cover, and noticeable wear to the frame.
