Description

American soldier, lawyer, intelligence officer and diplomat (1883-1959) who is best known for serving as the head of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), the precursor to the Central Intelligence Agency, during World War II. He is regarded as the founding father of the CIA, and a statue of him stands in the lobby of the CIA headquarters building in Langley, Virginia. Vintage matte-finish 10 x 8.25 photo of Wild Bill Donovan standing with two other gentlemen, signed in black ink, "Bill Donovan." In very good to fine condition, with stains to the left edge, and surface loss to the corner tips.
