Description

Famous general (1696-1750) who first served in the Army of the Holy Roman Empire before entering French service and rising to Marshal General of France; son of Augustus II the Strong, King of Poland. LS in French, signed “M. de Saxe,” one page, 8 x 12.25, September 2, 1748. Untranslated letter to M. de Coubon. In fine condition, with a strip of toning, and a small hole and related tear, to the bottom edge.
