King William III orders payment to the Speaker of the House of Commons

Sovereign Prince of Orange (1650-1702) who served as King of England, Scotland, and Ireland from 1689 until his death. Manuscript DS, signed “William R,” one page, 9 x 13.5, April 5, 1699. Warrant issued to the "Commissioners of Our Treasury" for the payment of £300 to "Sir Thomas A. Littleton Bar't Speaker of the House of Commons." Signed at the head by King William III, and countersigned at the conclusion by Charles Montagu, 1st Earl of Halifax; Stephen Fox; and John Smith. Affixed by its edge and in very good condition, with toning, soiling, edge tears, and light show-through from some old tape on the back.
