Description

Naval officer and member of the Sons of Liberty who participated in the Boston Tea Party (1751-1832). Partly-printed DS, signed “Tho's Melvill,” one page, 10 x 16, October 27, 1823. Port of Boston and Charlestown certificate for the importation of "Fourteen Boxes White Sugar," signed at the conclusion in ink by Melvill as naval-officer and Nathaniel Tracy as collector. In very good to fine condition, with overall mottling.
