Al Worden's personally-owned NASA news release announcing the selection of the Apollo 15 crew, three pages, 8 x 10.5, March 26, 1970. In part: "The National Aeronautics and Space Administration named flight and support crews today for the Apollo 15 lunar landing mission. Prime crewmen are astronauts David R. Scott, 37, commander; Alfred M. Worden, 37, command module pilot; and James E. Irwin, 40, lunar module pilot. They were backup crewmen for Apollo 12…Worden, an Air Force major, will be making his first space flight. He has been an astronaut since April 1966." In fine condition, with the staple removed from the upper left corner and pencil annotation to the first page. Accompanied by a philatelic souvenir of the 'First Man on the Moon' stamp with first day cancelation and a facsimile signature of Neil Armstrong.
