Description

Heartbeat Records 45 RPM single of 'Jacqueline / The Man' sent to Jacqueline Kennedy at the White House by songwriter Seymour Schwartz, with the original transmittal letter addressed to JFK's personal assistant Evelyn Lincoln, August 14, 1963, just five days after the death of Patrick Kennedy, in part: "At a time like this words cannot express my sorrow regarding the loss our President and Mrs. President have just experienced. You may recall I wrote you several weeks ago that I wrote a new song 'Jacqueline.' May I humbly present it now with the thought that only good things will come Mrs. Kennedy's way. I also dedicate 'The Man' to Mr. President Kennedy, feeling in my heart that the two songs were meant for each other." The letter is affixed to a cardstock mount. In fine condition.
