American psychologist and social philosopher (1904-1990) who was the Edgar Pierce Professor of Psychology at Harvard University from 1958 until his retirement in 1974; contemporary academia considers Skinner a pioneer of modern behaviorism, along with John B. Watson and Ivan Pavlov. Signed book: Walden Two. Later printing. NY: Macmillan, 1971. Paperback, 4 x 7, 320 pages. Signed and inscribed on the half-title page in blue ballpoint, "For Stephen Adamson, B. F. Skinner." In fine condition, with light creasing to the spine. From the collection of Stephen Adamson.
