J. de Sucre,” one page, 8 x 10, Republica de Colombia letterhead, August 21, 1822. Letter to Pedro Briceno Mendez, the Secretary of War and Navy, in part (translated): "The official letter of your Lordship of the 29th of July postal express has been received, the one in which is the account of the governor of the installation of a provincial Superior Court of Justice in Cuenca and approval of this measure by His Excellency. That tribunal has broken up already at the moment that it established in this capital the provincial Superior Court for the Law." In fine condition, with toning to the right edge.
