Description

American merchant, planter, and soldier from Georgia (1754-1799) who served as an officer in the 1st Georgia Regiment during the American Revolutionary War. He was a delegate to the Congress of the Confederation in 1785. Partly-printed DS, one page, 7.5 x 9.5, May 25, 1790. A power of attorney for the state of Georgia, in part: "I Thomas Shulnik of Charleston in the State of South Carolina Executor of Thomas Shulnik of the same place…deceased, have constituted, made, and appointed, and, by these presents, do constitute, make, and appoint, Seaborn Jones Esq. of Augusta Attorney of Law." Signed at the conclusion by Habersham as a witness. Lower right corner bears the original red wax seal. In very good to fine condition, with light staining.
