Description

Louisiana French-speaking performer and recording artist of Zydeco (1925-1987) who played the accordion and won a Grammy Award in 1983. Among his other honors: he was named a National Heritage Fellow, he was inducted posthumously into the Blues Hall of Fame and the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame, and he was a Grammy recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award. Vintage ballpoint signature, "Clifford Chenier,” on an off-white 3 x 1.25 card. Matted with an image of Chenier during a passionate performance to an overall size of 11.75 x 15.75. In fine condition.
